Ilchi Lee’s Brain Art Festival a Success

On August 15, 2009, Ilchi Lee shared his vision of new values, a new culture, and a new world with almost 4,000 people at Radio City Music Hall. Through his Brain Art Festival, hosted by the International Brain Education Association (IBREA) and the Korea Institute of Brain Science (KIBS), of which Lee is president, Ilchi Lee showed people that the potential of their brain is limitless. Since our brains create our problems, but our solutions as well, the potential of our society and our world is also limitless. Through our brains we can create an ideal world in which people work harmoniously together to benefit all.

At the festival, Ilchi Lee showed the audience how they can tap into their brain’s potential with Brain Wave Vibration. He lead them in a Brain Wave Vibration training, demonstrating a new way to do it to music composed by Arang Park specially for this event. The music incorporated a sound recording of the blood flow in Ilchi Lee’s brain during deep meditation.

You can watch a recap of this thought-provoking and thrilling event in this video:

Ilchi lee Brain Art Festival

Shortly after I had retrieved my bag from the baggage claim, I placed it on a cart and began to look for my student. All of a sudden, a man was standing right in front of me with his face close to mine, shouting something I didn’t understand. All I knew how to say was, “What?! What?!” Before I knew what was happening, I looked behind me and saw another man running down the corridor with my bag in his hand. Before I could think of what to do, both men had disappeared into the crowd.

To say the least, I was devastated. It seemed like such a harsh welcome to America. Many emotions came Hooding over me. The easiest thing would have been to return with my student to Korea. First impressions arc always very strong, and it was hard to resist negative information that my brain created to explain the situation. I could have concluded that America is a bad place or that this event was a bad omen. In troubled times, it is easy to fall for this way of thinking.

Ilchi Lee Brain Education Vision

Every stitch is like a thought that you add to the overall shape of your life. Eventually, thoughts lead to action and the form will emerge, if you can only keep your intent in mind. If YOU have no clear vision, however, you will end up with a random pile of knotted yarn.

Everything I have achieved in my life happened one stitch at a time. I began with just one single student, and every step that followed was like a carefully placed stitch. Eventually, my plan began to emerge as a whole, just like a sweater takes form.

The key is to keep the big picture always in mind, even when it seems so far away. In my life, I have faced many moments that could have destroyed me.

Ilchi Lee Brain Education

As I see it, the human life span has three phases. First we have a growth phase that usually is experienced during childhood, adolescence, and our early twenties. Of course we continue to grow throughout our lives, but this is a particularly intense period of investigation and experimentation during which we try to get to know the world and ourselves.

In our late twenties and thirties, we move into what I call the “success phase,” during which we try to create something tangible with our lives in the physical world, perhaps through career or the development of our finances. The problem is that most people seem to get stuck in this success phase, thinking it is the most important aspect of life. This is a little like a caterpillar thinking he can do no more with his life than spend it eating leaves all day.

In reality, the caterpillar has the ability to transform into a beautiful butterfly, just as you can transform far beyond success in the physical world. Not realizing this, many people choose material success only to feel unfulfilled when it finally arrives.

Ilchi Lee Brain Education Feeling Of Expansion

In a very practical way, you can see how vibrations can influence us. You have certainly experienced walking into a room that feels heavy and negative. Sometimes this may be because the people in the room have just been arguing or discussing a somber topic. Even if they have stopped talking, or even if they have left the room, you can still feel it. This is the effect of those people’s brain waves on the surrounding atmosphere.

Even inanimate objects can carry vibrations that influence us. Sometimes a room feels negative, not because of some human event but because of the vibration inherent in the objects in the room. You could say that interior decorators and artists are masters of vibration, manipulating the way colors and shapes interact to affect your brain.

The experience of beauty is the experience of vibrations that resonate with you in a way that opens you up to the world around you. If you have ever experienced the feeling of awe, you have experienced the feeling of expansion that can come through beauty. When this happens, your brain is recognizing the high-level vibrations it craves.
