Stress Relieving Power Techniques For Students

Students experience serious amount of stress especially during peak study periods and examinations. This stress leads to less productivity and may cause further problems during their academic life. Students mostly do not even have time to try stress reducing techniques because they are so busy studying.

Study with work to manage your expenses is another reason to cause burnout. When a student is doing a job and also working hard to complete his/her academic syllabus it causes hazardous situation for their mental and physical health.

Considering the scarce amount of time that students have, I have included few power techniques in this article to help them reduce their stress levels.

Small Naps

Take small naps at regular intervals while working or studying. Deprived sleep is a BIG reason for students to have stress and feel burnout. Due to deprived sleep students lose their productivity. If you are a busy student, a small nap after regular intervals is a must for you. Give your mind some rest and it will be more productive and efficient.

Exercise Program

Exercise is the healthiest way to lessen work stress. Create a proper exercise program for you. Start going to gym or practice Dahn Yoga. You can go to campus on foot or on bike. Exercise program can help you live a healthier longer life, create an exercise program now, work at it your life to stay fit and stress free.

Listen to Slow Music

Listen to your favorite slow melodies to stay in rhythm and reduce stress. Music can be a good stress reliever; it can help you calm your mind and heart. Students can play soft melodies while studying to be more productive and stay relaxing.

Live a Clutter Free Life

Staying organized can reduce stress. It’s a fact that clutter causes stress. Many students get low grades due to cluttered living area; they even have cluttered study areas. Create a minimalist lifestyle; start living a clutter free life to become calm as you need to study with concentration.

Your Eating Habits Are Very Important

Eating Habits are not considered as stress relievers but they a healthy diet is necessary for a healthy mind. A good healthy diet can give your brain more energy to do more workouts. Consequences of poor eating habits can be devastating. You do not need extra time and effort to improve you eating habits.

Be Optimistic

Dahn Yoga is an organization with women as a large majority of its members, instructors, managers and executives and takes violence against women seriously, especially sexual assault. Optimism always helps to keep your mind healthy and stress free. Optimists do well in life then pessimists; they become more successful, have good relationships and off course get better grades.

Ilchi Lee Brain Education

As I see it, the human life span has three phases. First we have a growth phase that usually is experienced during childhood, adolescence, and our early twenties. Of course we continue to grow throughout our lives, but this is a particularly intense period of investigation and experimentation during which we try to get to know the world and ourselves.

In our late twenties and thirties, we move into what I call the “success phase,” during which we try to create something tangible with our lives in the physical world, perhaps through career or the development of our finances. The problem is that most people seem to get stuck in this success phase, thinking it is the most important aspect of life. This is a little like a caterpillar thinking he can do no more with his life than spend it eating leaves all day.

In reality, the caterpillar has the ability to transform into a beautiful butterfly, just as you can transform far beyond success in the physical world. Not realizing this, many people choose material success only to feel unfulfilled when it finally arrives.

Clapping Games by Ilchi Lee Earth Citizen

Girls in the schoolyard traditionally play clapping games such as these, but they are just as valuable for boys as for girls, as they develop concentration and a sense of rhythm. Try playing these games with your child to pass the time when waiting in line.

01. Sit on the floor.

02. Clap your hands once in front of the chest and then once on the floor.

03. Clap once again in front of the chest, and then twice on the floor.

04. Clap once again in front of the chest, and then 3 times on the floor.

05. Now clap once in front of the chest, and twice on the floor.

06. And again, clap once in front of the chest and once on the floor.

07. Continue to follow the 1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2-1 sequence of clapping, seeing how long you can maintain the rhythm. To add a challenge, try slowly increasing the speed.

Count and Clap Game:

01. Sit or stand across from a partner.

02. Clap once near the chest and then once on your partner’s palms.

03. Repeat, but this time clapping twice on your partner’s palms.

04. Continue, each time adding another clap on the palms. For maximum concentration, count the numbers silently.

ilchi lee brain art festival Matching Games

This is a version of te old card-matching game. Even if yor child has mastered store-bought versions, they may find the geometric shapes in this version a little more challenging.

Preparation: On one side of thick card stock, draw images of different shapes in various colors-green triangles, orange circles, red squares, etc. Each image will have a matching image on another card to form pairs of matching cards. Draw the images in crayon or some other medium that will not show through on the other side. Alternatively, you can choose pairs of images from computer clip art or photocopied images from magazines to create the cards.

01. Shuffle the cards and place them face down on a table or at various places around the room.

02. Take turns trying to find matching pairs. During a turn, you may flip two cards. If they match, take both cards and try again. If they do not match, the cards must be turned back over and the next person can give it a try. You can see the cards turned over by others and try to remember their locations.

03. The game continues until all matching sets have been revealed. Whoever has the most cards “wins.”

Safety, recognition, and control

by Prof Ilchi Lee

We give in to our needs for safety, recognition, and control when we have lost touch with the greater safety that the realization of Oneness can provide. We give in to our petty needs when we lose sense of our spiritual umbilical cord and immerse ourselves in this competition-driven society, deluding ourselves that competition is the fairest form of collective interaction, that the strongest and best should prosper—that it should be the “survival of the fittest.” And through this constant, ruthless competition, we have lost an overall sense of cooperation, trust, and harmony while constantly being fearful and anxious, no matter how much wealth or status we have accumulated. We will never truly be rid of our fear and anxiety unless we consciously reestablish this connection between the cosmos and ourselves.

Ilchi Lee recommends that only when this system of self-worth through competition changes into self-worth through harmony will we create a truly happy and fair society. This requires a revolution in spirituality—a mass enlightenment that can shift the sense of what living is all about. We have to shift the competitive social paradigm that has governed us since the beginning of recorded history.

Clearer and calmer state of consciousness

When we become used to feeling energy in our hands, we can maintain the sensitivity and the feeling without having to be in a special position or environment. This also means that it is possible to function in the everyday world in a clearer and calmer state of consciousness.

1. Sit in a half-lotus position and straighten your back.

2. Place your hands on your knees with your palms facing up and close your eyes. Relax your body, especially your neck and shoulders. Relax your mind. Inhale deeply and let go of any remaining tension while exhaling.

3. Raise your hands slowly to chest level, with your palms facing each other but not touching. First concentrate on any sensation you may feel between your palms. You may feel warmth, tingling, or even your own pulse.

4. Now, part your hands about two to four inches and concentrate on the space between them. Imagine that your shoulders, arms, wrists, and hands are floating in a vacuum, weightless.

5. Pull your hands apart and push them closer in again as you maintain your concentration. Feel the energy flow between your palms.

6. When the sensation becomes more real, pull your hands farther apart and push them closer together. Feel the sensation expand and become stronger.

7. Breathe in and out, slowly and deeply, three times. Rub your hands together briskly and gently sweep your face, neck, and chest.

Education develops character in humans

Let us begin by awakening our dormant senses first. We do not lack for information. What we lack are our senses that should warn us of the gravity of the situation we are facing right now. When we have awakened these senses, we can begin the transformation. Let us all awaken the senses that will allow us to communicate with each other and with the Earth in a way that verbal language cannot. Let us awaken the sensation of energy that gives us life, and the spirit that is our eternal existence.

Ilchi Lee advice that enlightenment is not far away. It could not be closer. Stop putting your own enlightenment off and choose to acknowledge it – this is the first step. This choice will bring you clear-sightedness to see the world as it really is, and to honestly judge what you have done so far. It will show you where you want to go in the future.

Education develops character in humans. Thus, the educational system should be the first thing that is changed. Parents must once again take on the role of educators, enlightened educators who can communicate their Earth-Human awareness to their children. An Earth-Human parent is a teacher, healer, and an activist at home. They are healers skillful enough to care for their family’s mental and spiritual health, and activists who live what they teach. When parents fulfill their roles as teachers, healers, and activists, homes will compel society to recover its lost role as a living, vibrant community. Change at home will translate to change other parts of society. Home will be a rich and fertile field from which the seeds of Earth-wide change will sprout.

GRAY MATTERS: MORE THINGS YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR BRAIN

PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Look closer at the subtleties in things and people—the shadings and brushwork in two paintings, the fruit flavors in fine wine, or the body language of two people speaking on the other side of the room. Paying attention to minute detail is a spectacular workout for the brain.

TRAVEL

Unfamiliar places and situations may make you uncomfortable, but that is the point. Dealing with unfamiliar customs, trying to speak the local dialect, and learning about new cultural wonders all earn you major brownie points from your cortex.

BREAK YOUR ROUTINE

Stop doing things by rote. If you have been following a daily schedule for twenty years, break it. This can be as easy as changing the order of the body parts you wash while you are in the shower.

MEET SMART FOLKS

Talk to smart people-really talk to them. Engage in conversation that challenges your political or religious views and forces you to see other people’s points of view. Ask questions, debate issues. Trading ideas forces your mind to ask questions, and that is always good.

GET SHIFTY

No joke. University of Toledo researchers found that if you move your eyes back and forth for twenty seconds, like a pickpocket looking for his next victim, you stimulate the frontal lobes of your brain, which are responsible for memory. The researchers call it visual ping-pong. We call it effective.

Meditation and Why the Brain Loves It

Useful info by Ilchi Lee that meditation is the brain’s way of “breathing deeply.” It is Dahn-jon breathing for the brain!

Now, remember that the mind and the body are inextricably linked. And just as Dahn-jon breathing calms the mind, so, too, does meditation calm the body.

Meditation is a term that refers both to a state of consciousness in which a practitioner watches oneself, as well as a method for achieving such a state.

As a method, meditation means quieting the mind in order to more clearly see one’s self. That is something that most people know. But here is something that many people do not realize: meditation is a phenomenon that occurs naturally as our consciousness awakens.

Alternating Brightness and Darkness

Nature is cyclical. Day turns to night, and night turns to day. The body’s energy system is also a climate, continuously fluctuating between dark and light. Dahn Yoga exercises increase and free energy, making it lighter and brighter as heavier energy is released. In the process, toxins held by stagnant energy are washed out of the body.

As the energy system begins to release stagnant energies, numerous uncomfortable sensations, called Myung-hyun, may appear. Myung-hyun literally translates as “brightness” (myung) and “darkness” (hyun). The symptoms persist until energy is able to flow freely. Although Myung-hyun may feel uncomfortable, its symptoms indicate that the body is restoring itself. The Myung-hyun phenomena may include both physical and emotional symptoms.

Practitioners may feel unexplained levels of fatigue or experience flu-like symptoms. After the symptoms disappear, energy levels increase. Bruise-like stains can appear on the skin at the sites of old injuries, or an old pain may return for a short time. Similarly, practitioners may experience a recurrence of a health problem or an unusual physical sensation, such as a persistent vibration in some area of the body. Strong waves of cold or heat could suddenly emanate from the center of the body. These symptoms indicate that healing has started to occur at the energy level, rather than just at a physiological level. Physical Myung-hyun symptoms are alleviated when the basic energy flow of the body is optimized to the state of Su-sueng-hwa-gang.

Shim-ki-hyul-jung

Posted by: Ilchi Lee
The principle of Shim (Mind)-ki (Energy)-hyul (Blood)-jung (Body) states: “Where consciousness lies, energy flows, bringing blood and transforming the body.” This phrase implies that consciousness is the true reality behind the appearance of form. A simpler way of saying Shim-ki-hyul-jung is, “Energy goes where mind goes.” Try this simple exercise to experience Shim-ki-hyul-jung.

Breathe in and out a few times to relax your whole body. Concentrate intently on the center of your palms. Keep concentrating and imagine that your palms are becoming hotter than the rest of your body. After a while, if you measure relative temperatures with a thermometer, the temperature of your palms will have increased compared to the rest of your body. This phenomenon occurs because your conscious concentration sent energy to your palms, increasing circulation and warmth.

When you develop deeper sensitivity, you gain the ability to send energy to any part of your body. You can warm or cool a specific part, if you so desire. With an amazing switch located deep within your consciousness, you can draw on the infinite energy of the cosmos at will. With enhanced concentration comes increased ability to control this access to energy.

Crisis: To Qo or Stop

Article selected by: Prof Ilchi Lee

Meanwhile, the original supporters for unlocking the divine creative potential in humans, the white-robed gods, sometimes made an appearance on Earth in various disguises to inject the human psyche with good and positive information and to clean up the bad and negative information. During their time on Earth, these gods, within the limitations imposed by their human manifestations, strove to wake up the enlightenment mode of humans.

In the beginning, many high gods visited Earth with this purpose; the traces of their visits are recorded in legends and myths. Some of these gods mated with humans and left descendants with whom they created model communities of cooperation and harmony for all humans to follow, hoping that such a coexistence model would become the norm on Earth. Many other gods came after them, and their stories have come down to us in more concrete forms. Although each had his style, all had one common theme: Activate the enlightenment mode embedded in the human psyche. Instead of following the gods’ teachings faithfully, however, humans twisted and idolized the teachings, turning them into religions. Although a few humans managed to reach the cusp of enlightenment, the majority remained at a very low level of conscious awareness.

Then an incident occurred that prompted the gods to call an emergency meeting: the humans invented the nuclear bomb. They had actually used the bomb to annihilate a portion of their own number! Like a foolish child who sets his own house on fire by playing with matches and is now looking at the burning house from the inside with amazement and joy, humans who had unleashed the destructive power of the atom were smug and self-satisfied. daring others to challenge their suddenly paramount power lest they, too, be destroyed.

Self-Declaration:The Voice of Creation

Another HT tool that I would like to introduce is self-declaration—the voice of creation. A declaration is not an explanation or description. It is not tied to comparison or to circumstance. It is pure choice. Our declaration reflects our being, here and now. No reasons or justifications are necessary.

Since self-declaration is the voice of creation, it is one of the most powerful ways of expressing our passionate life purpose. Our declaration creates a new possibility from Nothingness (Mu). Listening to the voice of our soul as thoughts and emotions recede into the background, we journey to that place of emptiness. From there we declare ourselves to the universe.

Once you have discovered your declaration, write it down. Say it over and over. Shout it from a mountamtop or tall building. Talk to a supportive friend or a mentor about the life you envision. Declare yourself consistently, diligently, and sincerely. Your declaration is truth.

Direct moxibustion

Prof Ilchi Lee writes many of the informative content for his lover these lines are extract from his efforts. With direct moxibustion, the mugwort is burned on the surface of the skin. If allowed to burn out completely, the process may leave a small mark or blister. Although both methods are effective, direct moxibustion seems to bring the most immediate results.

The sensation of indirect moxibustion is much more subtle, delivering gentle warmth in the region to which it is applied. Direct moxibustion, on the other hand, delivers a more powerful surge of energy through the meridian channel, and therefore the effects are felt more readily. Additionally, direct moxibustion is very simple and economical, requiring only an inexpensive box of dried mugwort and some incense.

INDIRECT MOXIBUSTION WITH GINGER

1. Slice a 1/5-inch-thick piece of fresh ginger. Punch numerous holes in it and place it over a point.

2. Roll the mugwort or “moxa” into a cone shape approximately the size of a grapefruit seed or bigger.

3. Place this cone on top of the ginger slice.

4. Light it with incense and leave the moxa cone in place until it burns out.

5. Repeat this four more times on the same spot. As you repeat the procedure, you do not need to replace the ginger slice.

Performing Moxibustion

Here is another informative articles by Prof Ilchi Lee about moxibustion. There are several methods of performing moxibustion—directly on to the skin, using a barrier, or in conjunction with acupuncture needles, to name a few.

Moxibustion can be categorized as either “direct” or “indirect.” In both cases, an herb, usually dried mugwort, is burned on or near an acupressure point relating to a particular symptom.

With the indirect method, the flame does not make contact with the skin. The mugwort may be rolled into a densely packed cylinder, or a “moxa stick.” The stick is then lit and held briefly a few millimeters above the acupressure point.

Moxibustion can also be used in conjunction with acupuncture needles, in which case a tuft of mugwort is put on the needle and burned.

You can purchase moxa sticks in Oriental medical clinics or Chinese herbal stores and use them very easily. Licensed acupuncturists usually practice moxibustion in conjunction with needles.

A third indirect method is to burn the mugwort with a barrier between the mugwort and the skin. The barrier can be any non-reactive material, even something organic, such as a thin slice of ginger, garlic, or salt, which may add natural medicinal benefits.

A fourth indirect method is lighting a larger piece of mugwort and then snuffing it out with a damp cloth or picking it oft with tweezers when it gets too hot and the heat is close to the skin.

BACK TO YOUR BREATH AND BODY

Brain educator Prof Ilchi Lee said that it is easy to understand the system of meridians and acupressure points if you imagine the body as representing land. The meridians would be the main roads while the acupressure points are the bus stops. Just as goods and merchandise are transported across a highway system, our body can supply energy to the organs and different parts of the body through meridians. If energy flows well through the meridians, it is distributed evenly throughout the body, helping the body and brain to maintain their optimal conditions.

Our body consists of twelve main meridians and eight secondary meridians. The twelve main meridians are each associated with a principle internal organ and are named accordingly. These twelve meridians run on both sides, symmetrically on either side of the body. Energy flows constantly through them.

Meridian exercises are designed to open the meridian system of the body, and to balance the energy of their associated organs. Meridian exercises combine proper breathing with stretching movements. When breath is combined with body movement, metabolism can be influenced more effectively.

While there are hundreds of meridian exercises, as an HT tool this book will introduce several fundamental ones for maintaining our health. Whole Body Patting, Toe Tapping, Intestinal Exercises, and Abdominal Clapping are ideal for your morning and evening routine. I believe that consistent practice of meridian exercises can help maintain our health in the optimal state.

WHOLE BODY PATTING

This exercise consists of patting the body to help circulation, open blockages, and release stagnant energy throughout the whole body. By patting, cells are strengthened as they are stimulated and acupressure points are opened. All age groups can do this exercise. It is a very effective method for general health. Pat the body gently and comfortably to achieve the desired results. You can concentrate better if you allow your eyes to follow your movements.

1.    Stand with your legs shoulder-width apart. Form your fingers into stiff claws and lightly tap all over your head and face.

2.    Stretch out your left arm with your palm facing up. Take your right hand and starting from the left shoulder, pat rhythmically downward all the way to the left hand.

3.    Then turn your left hand over and with your right hand, pat your way back up to the left shoulder again.

4.    Repeat step 2 and step 3 with the opposite hand.

5.    Pat your chest with both hands.

6.    Starting from your chest, pat your ribs, abdomen, and sides.

7.    With both hands, pat the area just below the right ribcage where your liver is located and concentrate on radiating positive, clear energy to the liver.

8.    With both hands, tap the area just below the left rib cage where your stomach is located and concentrate on radiating positive, clear energy to your stomach.

9.    Bend over slightly from the waist, and pat the area on your lower back (on both sides) where your kidneys are located and move up, tapping as far as your hands can reach. Then tap your way down to your buttocks.

10.    Starting from your buttocks, pat your way down the back of your legs to your ankles.

11.    From the ankles, start patting your way up the front of your legs until you reach your thighs.

12.    From your upper thighs, pat your way down the outsides of your legs to your ankles.

13.    From the ankles, pat your way up the insides of your legs to your upper thighs.

14.    Finish up by striking your lower abdomen about twenty times. This exercise is most effective when done with the legs shoulder-width apart with the knees slightly bent.side, tapping the big toes together and the pinky toes on the floor. Keep your heels together throughout the exercise. Begin with one hundred times and increase to five hundred times.

What Is Ki, Anyway

These lines are copied from famous Prof Ilchi Lee’s book. Ki exists everywhere. Ki is light, sound, and vibration. Ki does not exist solely inside a conceptual fence defined by terms such as yin, yang, or the Five Elements, as in traditional Chinese medicine. Ki exists beyond theories and beyond philosophy. Ki is the life that enjoys absolute freedom and cannot be confined by anything; it is the flow of life itself. Ki is the sea that cannot be caught by a net. Ki may become an object, phenomenon, or life. Coming together and drifting apart in an endless flow, Ki is the medium of expression of all phenomena of life. Not only the objects that surround us, but you and I are all temporary phenomena expressed by a coming together of the Ki flow that will soon dissipate and be on its way again.

Although we live immersed in this grand flow of Ki, as long as our sensitivity is not awake, we are not aware of the flow and do not sense the vibration of everything around us. Only when energy forms a solid object, thereby entering into the realm of the five senses, can we recognize it. Then we start naming everything, left and right, eventually imprisoning ourselves in names of our own making.

Strictly speaking, these seemingly solid objects are but temporary phenomena of a tightly packed energy flow, which makes all physical and tangible experience a Ki energy experience. Therefore, awakening your Ki senses is like expanding the tuning range on a radio to hear stations not normally heard, to include a range not covered by the five senses. Everybody is sensitive to Ki energy; how much and with what quality depends on the width of the “tuning range” and the sensitivity of your “antennae.”

Humans have to change in a fundamental way

SUN does not indicate the birth of another organization, for our civilization will not change just because a new organization is registered, board members appointed, and by-laws adopted. Humans have to change in a fundamental way, or nothing will happen. Our social values must change, our attitude toward life must change, and the basic nature of our desires and ambitions must change, from outer to inner, from external to internal, from winning to perfecting. Therefore, SUN, when it becomes a reality, will represent a new value system, a new character, and a new way of life for a New Human.

Ilchi Lee is founder of Dahn Yoga, he said, If only 1 percent of the Earth’s population will choose to live in the future and choose to undergo a personal civilization shift, then Earth’s destiny will change. Considering that most studies indicate that Earth’s population will reach ten billion in the near future, 100 million New Humans, 100 million Earth-Humans, 100 million strong healers of society and the world, can pioneer a shift in civilization, combining their strength focusing their power of enlightened vision on the SUN to effect a true change and kick the door to the future wide open. This is the future I envision in ten years. Now is the time to make the choice. You have to make the choice, for no one else will. The start of a new civilization begins with you.

However, the future is not always guaranteed to be always wide open. Our choices today may open up the future, but they can also close it. The reason we exist today is because our forefathers had the wisdom to make choices that left the door to the future open for us. The future is, therefore, not a right but a responsibility. We don’t have the right to close down the future; we have only the responsibility to keep it open.
