The new identity you have chosen for yourself, along with your vision, are best practiced in your everyday life. We define who we are through our actions. Our actions are the result of information in our brain. And the information in our brain is reaffirmed by our actions. A cycle of mutual reinforcement is established, in which the “enlightening” information in our brain induces a type of behavior that is Hong-Ik, which in turn reinforces our identity as a Hong-Ik person.

When information first comes into the brain, it is unverified. The brain does not have full trust or confidence in this piece of information and thereby does not translate it into action. When the brain comes to trust that information, it translates it into action. The information is worthy ot action. When the information is expressed as action and has proven its worth, it finally attains the status of decisive information. Such decisive information has the ability to call forth all the energy we have, for this type of information forms the basis of our identity. Therefore, it is crucial for our new identity to be verified information. It has to attain the status of decisive information through repeated reinforcement.
